Exciting activities—socials to racing
The Yakima Valley Sports Car Club is a fun and interesting way to be around and learn about sports cars. There is always a blend of well seasoned members and people just becoming interested in sports cars. The club is not a male only group either, with a good portion of our members being woman.
Racing
Some members are involved in racing. Competing in I.C.S.C.C. and S.C.C.A. sanctioned events. The races can still be enjoyed without driving in them. The races are always looking for pit crew volunteers, or you can just enjoy viewing the many sports car races in the Northwest with fellow club members.
Rallies
Rallies are yet another fun event. A rally has a driver and a navigator who are given special instructions and clues to drive from point A to point B. The team closest to the correct time and mileage receives the fewest penalty points WINS.
Autocrossing
During the better weather, an exciting event is autocrossing. It involves running cars one at a time through a prescribed course in the shortest amount of time possible. There are classes for every type of car, to keep the competition close and exciting.
Social Events
The club members enjoy many social events throughout the year. Monthly club meetings, tours, picnics and the annual awards-year end banquet. The club also joins in on many of the other car activities that happen around the Northwest - which gives us even more opportunity to drive our cars.
YVSCC
The YVSCC for 49 years has been the club for all who have interests in sports cars and sports car activities. It is for the people who enjoy the simple pleasures of driving. Throughout the years the club has supported and has been committed to preserving and carrying on the traditions of sports car motoring.
We invite you to our monthly meeting
We welcome you to join us at our monthly meetings - on the first Wednesday of each month. We meet at the Airport Restaurant. Meetings start at 7:00 pm. Come early and have dinner with some of the members. You do not have to own a sports car to join the YVSCC. We simply share a common enthusiasm - that the automobile can be more than transportation. We have members who own sports cars, once owned sports cars and those who dream of owing one in the future.
